And now, my words have the capacity to do the same for others.

Other people’s stories gave me hope and understanding when I had none. As a survivor of abuse and trauma, I know firsthand how stories can transform lives. Things haven’t changed too much! I still spend much of my day wondering. I wondered about the world, people, and life. I spent my days in my head, conjuring up stories filled with heroes and villains. But once that happens, once you redefine your normal and live in congruence with the fire and passion of your intensities, you can align with your purpose and create more meaning for yourself and the planet.Īs a young child, I was intense and creative. Embracing my intense nature as a strength was something I had to learn. Sure, living an authentic life isn’t easy. Our intense nature fuels our creative passions, allowing for greater inspiration, deeper connection, and more meaningful transformation. I tried to hide my gifts, walk away from my creative self, be someone different.īut here’s the thing – you can’t walk away from you. There were many times I wanted to change my nature, not be the intense person that I am. Most of my life, I’ve been told I’m “too intense, too much, too…everything.” I’ve struggled to manage my intense nature, been caught in the throes of doubt, guilt, and shame, explored dark shadows of my inner world. I understand what it means to live from a place of extreme intensity. Sometimes you may even wonder if you are too much. Sounds are loud, colors are bright, and everything seems like too much. You feel things deeper than most, absorbing the energy of everything around you. Painting the world in bold colors when everyone else paints in pastels.
